Summary
This course is a double award and includes the following courses;
ILM Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities - This course is designed for technicians who maintain and repair electric/hybrid vehicles. It contains the skills and knowledge required to work safely around a vehicles's high and low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system, whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. On completion of this qualification, technicians will have gained knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical system and an understanding of their dangers.
ILM Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement - This award is designed for learners who maintain and repair electrical/hybrid vehicles. It contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely in and around the vehicle's high and low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system whilst carrying out repairs or maintenance. On completion of this qualification, technicians will be able to practically demonstrate that they have the skills required for repairing vehicles with low and high voltage electric technologies.
You will need coveralls and steel toe capped boots.

Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for those that maintain and repair electric/hybrid vehicles, who are from the retail automotive industry or the public service sector ( for example, members of the emergency services, who may attend an accident involving an electric/hybrid vehicle ) in the maintenance, service and/or handling of electric/hybrid vehicles.
Objective
ILM Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities on successful completion of the course.
ILM Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement on successful completion of the course.
Assessment
Online test, practical tasks and knowledge assessments.
Progression
On successful completion of the above course you may wish to progress on to the ILM Level 4 Award in the Diagnosis, Testing and Repair of Electric/Hybrid Vehicles and Components.
