Summary
Have you every fancied drawing, but wasn’t sure where to begin? This course is for you. Come to learn key skills in drawing which will get you stated and will help to build your confidence to start and then continue to draw.
You will be encouraged to draw with different media types. Developing skills in shape, proportions, tone, line, colour and mark-making in this 6 week course.
Week 1 – Mark making and texture
Week 2 – Line Drawing
Week 3 – Exploring tone
Week 4 – Proportions and Scale
Week 5 – Composition and Perspective
Week 6 – Open session to explore your own ideas as learnt from the course or complete a previous drawing you would like to work more on.
Students will need to bring the following with them for the course –
Week 1 – Sketchbook A4 or A3 (Personal Preference)
Week 2 – Sketchbook A4 or A3 (Personal Preference)
Week 3 – Bring in a small object e.g. ornament, fruit or item of clothing
Week 4 - Bring in a small object e.g. ornament, fruit or item of clothing
Week 5 – Image of a place – Landscape, building or an interior of a building
Week 6 – Any images or objects to work from (Personal choice)
