Summary
Come join us in this exciting 5 week course, learning how to design, carve and print your own beautiful lino prints. Complete beginners welcome and if you have a little bit of experience, then that is an added bonus. Throughout the course, you will learn invaluable tips from the lecturer, who is a local printmaking artist.
This course will guide you through the printmaking process, gaining knowledge in the use of lines and textures to develop and expand your print ideas.
All specialist tools and materials are provided, However, feel free to bring a notepad and pens/pencils with you to take notes along the way. Please wear old clothing or an apron to protect your clothing, as this course can be messy! If you have any specific ideas or images you would like to try to develop into prints, please bring these with you also.
Week 1 – Intro, ideas, cutting lines.
Week 2 – Cutting shapes, adding colour.
Week 3 – Adding a second colour, mixing colours.
Week 4 – Registration, blending colours.
Week 5 – Planning, building up layers, mixed media
6-8:30pm 5 weeks, 1 session a week on Tuesday evenings.
