Summary
This course will introduce you to the health and social care field. It provides the underpinning knowledge and skills required to progress on to further study within the Health Care sector.
This course is made up of units which may include:

- Human Body Systems
- Vocational Experience in Health and Social Care

Entry Requirements
Achieve 4 GCSE's at grade 3 or above, including English Language and maths.
Attend a taster day
Satisfactory completion and submission of your Enrolment Task as directed
Successful completion of a Disclosure Baring Service (DBS) check
Assessment
Throughout the course, you will learn by completing projects and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. There are 2 mandatory exams that must be passed to complete the Level 2 course.
Progression
After successful completion of the course and successfully achieving your grade 4 in maths and English Language, you may progress to a higher level qualification at City College, such as a level 3 extended Diploma in Health and Social Care, T Level in Supporting Healthcare or an apprenticeship.
Career Progression
After the course you could look to progress onto a higher level course that will support your pathway towards a career such as nursing, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or health and social care.
Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over fees may be payable.
