The first of its kind in world, the IAAN is an outstanding purpose-built learning environment that allows you to work on a live Boeing 737 aircraft in the specialist Aviation Emulation Zone®️. This specialist study centre will help you develop world class skills based on practical experience to help you prepare for a career in the industry.
Work towards a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) License
Our aviation engineering degree course gives you the opportunity to work towards a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Category B License which allows you to work on aircraft unsupervised.
Choosing this pathway in the second year of the course will allow you to complete the examinations you need to apply for a B1.1 or B2 license* alongside your degree course. This will help accelerate your progress in the industry and put you in a better position to work towards securing higher level employment after graduating.

Financial support available for degree level study includes:
- tuition fee loan from Student Finance England to cover course fees*,
- maintenance loan to help with living costs up to £9,400 per year
- council tax reduction and
- Parent Learning Allowance or Childcare Grant if you have dependent children.
