What You Will Study

Entry Requirements
- You will need to achieve five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English language and maths.
- Satisfactory completion of written taster day activities.
- Provide two positive references.
- Successful completion of a Disclosure Baring Service (DBS) check.
How You Will Be Assessed
Assessment is through a variety of methods, which include exams, controlled assessments, assignments, case studies and course work. You will also keep a log of your experience on placement and your personal development. This qualification will include both internal and external assessment methods.

You could progress to a role in health settings such as Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Clinical Support Worker, Maternity Support Worker, Theatre Support Worker and Rehabilitation Assistant.
You could also consider roles in social care settings such as Support Worker, Residential Care Worker, Domiciliary Care Worker and Community Support Assistant or in emergency and clinical support such as an Ambulance Care Assistant or Patient Transport Service Worker.
