Work and Industry Placements
Work placements are invaluable temporary positions designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge in your chosen field. Depending on the course, placements typically range from 250 to 315 hours, providing hands-on experience with employers. While these placements are unpaid, the focus is on learning from industry experts to meet your course requirements.
You will gain key skills such as:

This practical experience will allow you to apply the theoretical knowledge you have learnt in the classroom to dynamic real-world scenarios, significantly enhancing your employability.
While we encourage you to seek out your own placements, our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way. You will meet the team during enrolment and they will assist you in preparing for employment. You may also benefit from employer talks and networking opportunities alongside your work experience.

T Level industry placements
For T Level students, a unique blend of classroom learning and practical ‘on-the-job’ experience is provided, lasting 315 hours. These placements are designed to impart the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience required for success in the industry or to pursue further study or a higher Apprenticeship. As a T Level student, you will be assigned a dedicated Industry and Work Placement Officer to assist in finding a suitable placement aligned with your career aspirations.
