Summary
The programme is ideal for young chefs aged 10 -15 who want to learn to cook with imagination and style. New and returning Junior Chef’s are invited to have a go at exciting new recipes to build their skills and confidence.
The Junior Academy provides expert tuition in the professional environment of the College’s industry-standard training kitchens, guided by experienced chefs from the renowned Hotel School.
The course provide opportunities for participants to learn how to prepare, cook and present a wide range of dishes, helping the young chefs to develop new skills and presentation styles.
Location: City College Norwich main campus - Ipswich Road. Cooks Club courses are held in the kitchens of the Hotel School in the Cromer building. Map available on our website.
Duration - 10 weeks All food will be provided. You will be required to bring in containers each week to take your food home.
Time - 9.30am - 12.30pm (1st session you are required to arrive at 9am for administration)
Day - Saturday
Please wear long straight sleeves, enclosed shoes and bring an apron.
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements but would be good for applicants to have commitment to learning and an interest in the subject area.
