ACADEMIC SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE:

Starting September 2023
Fixed term until 31 August 2024
FTE £20,441 per annum
Pro-rata £14,788 per annum, including an allowance for holiday pay, free accommodation & food during term-time

Wymondham College has over 400 staff dedicated to supporting World Class education. The College currently is one of the top state schools in the country and is recognised as one of the highest performing state schools in the East of England. This is backed up by its most recent Ofsted review which rated the College as outstanding in both Education and Boarding inspections.

The College is focused on providing outstanding quality to their students and staff not only in education but also through its provision of exceptional facilities and accommodation on site across its 83-acre campus.

The College is seeking to appoint two exceptional graduates to be Academic Mentors in Residence in the Sixth Form, a bespoke mini campus on the fringe of our 83-acre site in the award winning county of Norfolk.

The successful candidate will contribute to the inspirational academic culture through mentoring our potential Oxbridge, veterinary and medical undergraduates as well as nurturing the ambition of all of our students so that career ambitions become a reality.

The Academic Scholar in Residence will also be instrumental in supporting our students in their super-curricular engagement and work with our excellent staff to ensure the College provides a world class provision. In addition, the post holder will provide academic mentoring in the boarding house to our sixth form boarding students and be part of the boarding house staff team.
