What You Will Study

Join us in this exciting six-week course, learning how to design, carve and print your own beautiful lino prints.

Complete beginners are welcome and if you have a little bit of experience, then that is an added bonus. Throughout the course, you will learn invaluable tips from the lecturer. This course will guide you through the printmaking process, gaining knowledge in the use of lines and textures to develop and expand your print ideas.

All specialist tools and materials are provided, However, feel free to bring a notepad and pens/pencils with you to take notes along the way. Please wear old clothing or an apron to protect your clothing, as this course can be messy! If you have any specific ideas or images you would like to try to develop into prints, please bring these with you also.

• Week one - Introduction to lino printing and making your first lino print.
• Week two - Introduction to mono printing and making mono prints
• Week three - Cutting and printing your first step of your reduction lino print
• Week four - Cutting and printing you second step of your reduction lino print
• Week five - Cutting and printing your third step of your reduction lino print
• Week six - Optional forth step or reduction lino, or more experimentation with mono printing

This course runs on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm.
