What You Will Study
This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to begin a successful career in the exciting and ever-evolving travel and tourism industry.
As one of the UK's largest employment sectors, travel and tourism offers a wide range of career opportunities across airports, airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, visitor attractions, cruise lines, holiday resorts, conference venues, and events organisations. Throughout the course, you will be taught by experienced lecturers who bring extensive industry knowledge and commercial expertise to their teaching.
You will explore the structure and importance of the UK's travel and tourism sector, gaining an understanding of how different organisations work together to create memorable travel experiences. You'll also discover destinations around the world, studying popular tourist resorts and attractions across Europe, South America, Australia, and beyond.
Strong English and mathematics skills are essential for further study and employment within the industry. These skills will be embedded throughout your learning, helping you develop the confidence and professional standards expected by employers.

- Achieve four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English language and maths.
How You Will Be Assessed
Assessment is designed to reflect a range of skills used within the travel and tourism industry. You will be assessed through a variety of methods, including written assignments, presentations, role-play activities, group projects, and practical tasks, allowing you to demonstrate both your knowledge and professional skills in realistic industry scenarios.
Course Progression
On successful completion of this course and achieving English and maths at grade 4, progression may include the NCFE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism, an Apprenticeship or relevant employment.

Fees
Currently for UK students aged under 19 years old on the 31st August prior to the start of your course, your tuition fees are free. There may be opportunities for students to participate in a study visit, this will be advised at enrolment. Financial support could be available depending on your circumstances.
