Celebrating our further education students

On 23rd September 2026, City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston Sixth Form College celebrated the Further Education achievements of 12 exceptional students at our annual FE Student Awards, which were held in the Debut Restaurant at City College Norwich. 

Collectively, the three Norfolk colleges educate more than 6,000 16- to 18-year-olds and over 1,200 adults on their Further Education courses, spanning entry level courses and Inclusive Learning provision (rated as Outstanding by Ofsted for three inspections in a row), through to a broad range A Levels, T Levels, and other Level 3 qualifications, as well as Access to Higher Education. 

The award winners’ inspirational achievements were shared with an audience of proud family members, college staff, and award sponsors, who enjoyed a delicious light meal prepared and served by the college’s hospitality students.        

Among the award winners was Lewis Chapman, who was presented with the Level 2 Student of the Year Award. Lewis, who completed an electrical course with City College Norwich this summer and has now started a Level 3 electrical apprenticeship with C.E Davidson Ltd, said: 

“I’m really glad that I’ve got this award. I worked hard at college and it’s given me the knowledge to go on to the apprenticeship.”

Ebony Monsey, a Paston Sixth Form College student who is mid-way through a T Level in Education and Early Years, was presented with the Level 3 Student of the Year Award.  Reflecting on the course, which includes a minimum of 315 work placement hours across the two years, Ebony said:   

“It’s helped me to decide that I want to work in primary schools. I am interested in all the theory behind it, and I like putting it into practice on the placement. I love my placement, everyone is very supportive.” 

Jen Eves, Interim CEO of City College Norwich, Easton College and Paston Sixth Form College, commented: 

“Our FE Student Awards shine a spotlight on the talent, determination and ambition demonstrated by our students, each of whom has followed their own unique path to success. These achievements extend beyond qualifications alone, representing growth, dedication and the positive contributions our students make to college life and the wider community.”
