Summary

The course is designed to provide students with further confidence and skills in hairdressing, building upon skills achieved at level 2 and enables students to take on greater responsibility within our operational salon including developing supervisory skills with junior staff.

Advanced cutting in ladies hairdressing including use of razors, texturizing, and personalising looks for their clients. The course features advanced colouring techniques to produce creative and commercial effects which will enhance client’s hairstyles. At level 3 students are also taught corrective colouring skills which is a tremendous asset to any hairdresser and makes them even more employable to any salon owner.

Specialist training in hair extensions is also offered as an enrichment activity with our partner organisation Hair Plus Academy (please note this is an optional training opportunity with an additional fee). Our training salon, Solutions, is run as a fully functioning commercial salon offering a full range of professional consultations and treatments. Every student will have weekly opportunities to gain first-hand experience of working in the salon using top brands such as ASP and GHD. All of our tutors are highly qualified with excellent industry experience and all work hard to ensure our students benefit from this wealth of knowledge.

All students have opportunities to participate in College events such as fashion shows, the Royal Norfolk Show, hair and beauty shows and other off-site activities to build practical experience. We regularly participate in competitions and in previous years we have had students places in regional and national competitions. There are additional opportunities to visit Salon International and other events as they arise.
