What You Will Study

The Engineering T Levels are new two-year courses developed in collaboration with engineering employers and businesses, to prepare you for careers in the field of engineering. They are equivalent to three A Levels.

As part of your study, you will undertake 18 core units, followed by study of your mechanical occupational specialism. The core component is a highly theoretical aspect covering all aspects of engineering, including: engineering mathematics, electrical and electronic systems, applied physics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, control system, health and safety, project management, and engineering business.

The occupational specialism year will enable you to specialise in one aspect of engineering and will, through a combination of practical and theory delivery in our state of the art facilities, enable application of the knowledge obtained in the core year to introduce topics critical to your chosen specialism.

You will also undertake an industry placement of between 45 and 50 days (315 hours) across the two years.
