What You Will Study

This course gives you the chance to explore media, digital skills, business and employability in a supportive and practical environment. You will learn by doing, with projects designed to help you build confidence, try new things and prepare for your next step.

You will gain hands-on experience creating films and graphics, using industry-standard and widely used software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition and Canva. You will also develop practical IT skills for everyday life and the workplace, including understanding basic cybersecurity, learning about computer components, and solving common technical problems. This course will support you to build valuable employability and life skills, from interview techniques to customer service skills.

You will learn in a nurturing and supportive environment, making this course a great option if you have faced barriers to learning or haven’t followed a traditional educational pathway.

• Filmmaking – plan, film and edit your own video projects, developing practical production and editing skills
• Graphic Design – create digital graphics and work with a client to respond to a design brief

• Enterprise Projects – work together as a class on a practical enterprise project, developing your business, teamwork and problem-solving skills
• Employability Skills – develop interview techniques, job-search skills, application writing and presentation skills
• Workplace Skills – explore health and safety, sustainability and professional behaviour in the workplace
• Digital and IT Skills – develop essential IT skills, including cybersecurity, online safety, computer hardware and troubleshooting common technical issues.
