What You Will Study

You will cover:
- In-depth IT systems knowledge: understanding the role of IT systems in today’s digital landscape, including how to identify and tackle cybersecurity threats
- Cybersecurity and risk management: learn how to prevent, detect, and manage attacks in a world where cyber threats are constantly evolving
- Website creation: build dynamic websites tailored to specific needs, boosting your creative and technical web development skills
- Data mastery through databases: develop relational database solutions, equipping you with the skills to manage and analyse data effectively.
This course needs to be taken alongside two other A Levels.

Entry Requirements
- Five GCSE subjects at grade 5 or above including English language and maths
- If you have taken GCSE or BTEC information and communication technology, you must also have achieved a minimum of a grade 4 or merit.
How You Will Be Assessed
This course covers two examined units and two internally assessed units, where you will engage in practical tasks to develop your information technology skills and knowledge.
- Exams: information technology systems and cyber security and incident management
- Coursework: website development and relation database development.
Course Progression
This qualification may support you to progress in the following degrees: BA Business Studies, BSc Information Systems and BSc Computer Science.
