What You Will Study

Business is a dynamic and engaging subject that will help you develop a deeper understanding of business issues in the modern world. You will study models, theories and techniques, and will engage with current business developments and real business situations.

Throughout the course, you will learn how management, leadership, problem solving, and decision-making can improve business performance within marketing, operations, finance, and HR. You will explore the interrelated nature of business activities and how they are affected, from small and medium-sized enterprises to multinational corporations and conglomerates.

You will explore competitive environments and markets and will also have the opportunity to use a range of quantitative and non-quantitative data to understand how decisions can affect stakeholders as well as shareholders.

Throughout the course, you will work with businesses such as John Lewis, Kiss Radio, and Imperial College London, while incorporating virtual work experience into your timetable. This is a unique opportunity that allows students to participate in world challenges, competing against schools and colleges in other countries. Previously, students have won challenges for a TikTok sustainable fashion brand, and the creation of a sustainable building with Wates Construction. These are great ways to reinforce your business skills and knowledge.
