Summary

Your learning will cover all aspects of engineering theory and practical skills. You will be fully prepared to work in an engineering environment, gaining
a detailed practical understanding of health and safety legislation, safe and effective use of tools and materials, hand skills, engineering mathematics and physics, working with others, interpretation and use of engineering data, digital skills, simple and complex technical systems, as well as developing yourself and your engineering career.

Our T Level courses will give you a thorough grounding in Engineering Fundamentals with the opportunity to specialise in the following fields:

  • Mechanical
  • Mechatronic
  • Light and Electric Vehicle.

The core year covers Engineering Mathematics, Electrical and Electronic Systems, Applied Physics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Control System, Health
and Safety, Project Management, Engineering Business, and more. The Occupational Specialism year will see you spend a minimum of 315 hours on an industry placement with an engineering employer.

Entry Requirements

General entry requirements for level 2 courses are 3 x GCSEs grade 9-3 to include maths and English.

Progression

Our courses will help you develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to be successful and progress through our course levels, on to Apprenticeships or Higher Education and into the industry in your chosen field.

Career Progression

Our students go on to a wide variety of roles with leading employers, including as
mechanical engineers, aviation mechanics/engineers, engineers within the Armed Forces, project managers, and many more.

Fees

If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop In addition to this there will be costs for Uniform of steel toe capped boots, trousers and logo shirt.
