‘Highly commended’ AA College Rosette for the Debut Restaurant

The Debut Restaurant at City College Norwich has been ‘Highly commended’ by AA Hotel Services following a visit under the AA College Rosette scheme.
The AA Hotel Services inspector sampled the food and service that is enjoyed during term time by the restaurant’s customers, providing feedback on the cuisine, the restaurant team, and the venue.
The AA Hotel Services inspector highlighted the ‘friendly approach and plenty of smiles from start to finish’, describing the arrival as ‘well managed, making the diner feel instantly at ease, with the team remaining genuine and focused at each touchpoint thereafter.’
On the cuisine, the report says, ‘The kitchen team showed skill and accuracy, demonstrating a clear balance between using quality ingredients and maintaining an accessible price point for the guest.’
The drinks menu also ‘impressed’, with ‘a quality offering’ showcasing partnerships with local suppliers.
On the restaurant service, the report says, ‘The Front of House team’s hospitality style was a highlight, their natural approach created an environment where the guest felt valued and cared for.’
AA Hotel Services have been recognising accommodation since 1908 and first introduced the star rating scheme in 1912, recognising and rewarding establishments for the Quality and range of their services and facilities.
The AA College Restaurant Award report gives contextual feedback linking industry inspectors with realistic working environment within educational establishments.
