City College Norwich appoints Interim CEO

City College Norwich is pleased to announce the appointment of Jen Eves as Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Following Jerry White's announcement that he will be leaving his role at the end of August, the college Board undertook a robust recruitment and selection process to appoint an Interim CEO for the 2026/27 academic year. Jen, who has served as the college's Chief Operating Officer (COO) since November 2024, will take up the post from 1st September 2026.

Jen has made a significant contribution to City College Norwich during her time as COO, helping to drive the college's strategic ambitions and leading the development of key support services and business functions. Her appointment reflects the Board's confidence in her leadership, experience and commitment to the college's vision.

Jen joined City College Norwich from West Suffolk Council, where she was Director of HR, Governance and Regulatory. Prior to her career in local government, she served as a Chief Superintendent with Suffolk Police. Throughout her career, Jen has developed extensive experience leading large, complex organisations and delivering positive outcomes for communities.

Speaking about her appointment, Jen said: "I am honoured to take on the role of Interim CEO at City College Norwich. Since joining the college, I have been inspired by the dedication of our staff and the ambition of our students. Education has a transformative impact on people's lives, and I am proud to have the opportunity to help shape opportunities for learners across Norfolk. I look forward to working with colleagues, students, partners and stakeholders to build on the college's successes and continue delivering outstanding outcomes for our community."

Commenting on the appointment, Marcus Bailey, Chair of the Board, said: "Jen has already demonstrated exceptional leadership during her time at the college and has made a significant contribution as COO. We are delighted that she has accepted this appointment and are confident that her expertise, strategic vision and commitment to our values will help guide City College Norwich through the coming year and beyond."

Arrangements to appoint an interim COO to replace Jen will be announced in due course.
