Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, and provide an excellent opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and secure an interview with an employer who is actively recruiting. 

A Skills Bootcamp is ideal if you are looking to progress in your current industry, want to change jobs, or if you're self-employed. 

You will need to:

  • Be aged 19+
  • Have the right to work in the UK and/or have a National Insurance Number
  • Not be enrolled on other funded training such as an Apprenticeship or Higher Education
  • Be a current resident of Norfolk or Suffolk
  • Have lived in the UK/EU for at least three years or have the right to live and work in the UK

This scheme is also available to employers who want to upskill their existing staff to increase productivity, develop new business, and retain staff.

Employers with less than 250 employees will need to pay just 10% of the cost of the course, with employers who have over 250 employees contributing 30% of the course costs. Employees that undertake the course will need to be able to provide evidence that they've taken on more responsibility or have been promoted within six months of completing the course.
