What You Will Study
Step into Retail is a friendly, confidence-boosting introduction to working in today’s retail environment.
If you enjoy helping people, being part of a team, and working in a lively setting, this course is a great way to explore the wide variety of roles retail has to offer.
During the programme, you’ll discover what it’s like to work on the shop floor, support customers, handle stock, and contribute to a great shopping experience. You’ll also pick up practical skills that help you feel prepared and ready for your next step - whether that’s applying for roles, starting further training, or simply building your confidence in a new direction.
By joining this course, you will:
- Learn what day-to-day retail work is really like
- Build confidence in talking to customers and working with others
- Explore different retail job roles to see what suits you
- Develop useful workplace skills in a supportive, hands-on way
- Feel ready to take positive next steps into the retail sector
Step into Retail is a welcoming, practical course designed to help you discover new opportunities and move forward with confidence.
This course will run from 9.30am to 4pm on 2nd June, 4th June, 9th June, 10th June, 16th June, 18th June, 23rd June and 25th June.
On completion of this course you will achieve a Level 1 Award in Business and Retail.
Entry Requirements
This course is open to applicants aged 19 and over. There are no specific prior achievements required to take this qualification, and you may or may not have had previous experience in retail. This qualification will allow you to develop and practise the skills required for employment and progression within the wide and varied retail sector.
How You Will Be Assessed
Assessment over the duration of the course will be written or through observation.
Where Your Course Can Take You
You could move into employment in the retail sector.
