What You Will Study

Are you an aspiring or newly appointed first-line manager or supervisor? Do you have the motivation, enthusiasm and commitment to lead, support and inspire others while driving high-quality outcomes within the workplace?

Our Management Evolution programme is aimed at individuals who want to take on leadership responsibilities and move towards management roles, as well as for those already in leadership positions who wish to enhance their management knowledge and develop a personal management toolkit. This course promotes self-reflective practice for continuous development and skills in managing and individuals and teams to achieve high quality results in the workplace.

This six month, part-time course can be managed alongside work, and incorporates work-based activities and a personal work-focused project. There are two contact sessions per month at the City College Norwich campus and participants will be offered an one-to-one personal coaching session.

This course is targeted at participants from a variety of sectors, at different ages, and with diverse work and life experience, which leads to a dynamic learning environment. The topics that you will explore will assist you in developing the skills, confidence, and approach required for the next steps in leadership and management.

Entry Requirements

While there are no specific entry requirements for the course, it will be challenging for those who are not already working as part of a team or do not have recent relevant experience to apply to concepts taught to.

How You Will Be Assessed

There is no formal summative assessment on this course as it is non-accredited. However, learning will be conformed through individual projects, reflection on personal objectives and class-based activities.

Course Progression

You could consider also studying ILM Level 2 Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills, Time Management and Team Work, Leadership and Teamwork, Influence and Motivation and Confidence and Assertiveness courses.

Where Your Course Can Take You

Participants who have completed this course and are aspiring to a management role may go on to take up positions such as: Team Leader, Supervisor, Project Officer, Shift Manager or Foreperson.
