What You Will Study

Ready to take your creativity to the next level and make art that truly pops? Our creative summer school is a high-energy four-day summer holiday crash course for young artists, illustrators, and creators aged 11 to 16 who want to explore your imagination, build confidence in your skills, and experiment with both traditional and digital tools.

Whether you love sketching characters, painting bold scenes or dreaming up original designs, this course is your chance to dive deep, try new techniques, and bring your ideas to life.

We’re mixing timeless art foundations with modern creative tools — no coding, no pressure, just drawing, painting, experimenting, and creating from start to finish.

Day one - We’ll kick things off by exploring the basics of drawing and visual storytelling. Through fun, hands-on activities, you’ll build confidence in your lines, shapes, and compositions — no pressure, just pure creative play.
Day two - Today will be all about diving deeper. You’ll experiment with different techniques to create depth, structure, and perspective in your work — whether you're sketching, painting, or designing. A great day for trying new things and pushing your skills further.
Day three - Discover how colour can transform your art! Learn the basics of colour theory, then use it to set a mood, tell a story, or just make something look awesome. You’ll create your own vibrant piece using a mix of materials.
Day four - Time to bring your ideas to life! Using everything you’ve learned, you’ll spend the day working on your own original artwork — your style, your subject, your voice. We'll be there to support you every step of the way. We’ll even print or display your final creation as a proud send-off!

Timings: four-day course running from 9am to 3pm each day.
You will need to bring a packed lunch and any medication required through out the day must be highlighted to CCN staff members before the course starts.
