Apply to Mint
Eligibility for Mint
To apply to join a Mint programme, a young person must:
- be aged between 16–25 years old
- have a barrier to work (learning difficulty, disability, mental health issue, etc.)
- not be in education, training, or employment
- applicants aged 19 and over must, in addition, either have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or not yet have achieved a Level 2 qualification / Grade 4 in Maths and English or above at GCSE
To be accepted on to a Mint programme, we expect applicants to:
- want to access PAID employment
- be motivated, reliable, and committed
- be able to travel independently or have the ability to learn
- be able to work unsupported after an agreed period of job coaching
- be ready to access employment within 12 months
Applications ideally need to be made or supported by a professional organisation or person, e.g. a school or college teacher, social worker, support worker.

To complete the online application form, you will need information from the young person, including a statement about why they want to join Mint, and contact details for their main parent/carer.
