Pre-Employment Programmes

MINT offers sector-specific pre-employment programmes designed to prepare young people for work in:

  • Customer Service & Retail
  • Hospitality & Catering
  • Cleaning
  • Admin

Each programme runs for 12 weeks and combines essential sector-specific training with supportive work experience, helping young people build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the workplace.

Training takes place in MINT’s Training Room at City College Norwich, a modern, open-plan learning space equipped with computers and a dedicated interview room.

 Young people benefit from:

  • A personalised timetable
  • High levels of support from experienced staff
  • A structured schedule of three days per week

This includes:

  • One day of training at MINT
  • Two days of work placement with local employers over 10 weeks

While a job offer is not guaranteed, these programmes significantly enhance young people's CVs, interview skills, and employment prospects. Many of the employers we work with have gone on to offer interviews and job opportunities to young people following their placements.
