Armed Forces Covenant

City College Norwich has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, joining the national promise to ensure that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly and with respect in the communities they live and work in.

Our commitment

For our college, the Covenant is an opportunity to:

  • Recognise and support students, staff, and families connected to the Armed Forces.
  • Strengthen our inclusivity by removing barriers to education, employment, and wellbeing.
  • Build partnerships with local military organisations and charities.
  • Demonstrate our values of respect, service, and community.

We have staff who are ex-Armed Forces employed in a wide range of teaching and support roles throughout the college, and many more with family members who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces.

We recognise the valuable experiences and skills these staff bring across all areas of our work.

Armed Forces Staff Network

Our Armed Forces Staff Network is a staff-led group that is open to all staff who have connections to the Armed Forces.

The network provides opportunities to connect socially, while drawing on the rich experience, insights, and links within the group to contribute positively to our college community.

If you are from an Armed Forces background and would like to find out more about working at our college, a member of our Armed Forces Staff Network would be happy to talk to you. Please contact robert.oberhoffer@ccn.ac.uk if you would like to arrange this.

Our Armed Forces Staff Network colleagues work in a wide range of roles across the college.
