Planning to meet the needs of learners in education and training

Delivering education and training using effective teaching and learning approaches

Assessing learners in education and training, including the use of feedback to support progress

Using resources, including digital technologies, to enhance learning

Teaching in a specialist area

In addition to the mandatory units, the programme includes a focus on course leadership, curriculum design and curriculum evaluation, reflecting the wider professional role of teachers within the FE and Skills sector.

The programme is studied over two academic years during term time and is delivered through weekly taught sessions. To be successful on the course, learners are expected to engage in independent study alongside timetabled sessions, and it is recommended that students allow approximately three additional hours per week for reading, research, reflection and assessment preparation.

Once enrolled, you will have access to the college’s online learning environment, which provides learning resources, assessment guidance, support
