Job Description
We are looking for students who are passionate about forest school and outdoor learning to support our successful Rewild holiday club. Working alongside our highly trained Rewild leader we would like to welcome students to support our learners aged 5-10. Our days run from 8:30-17:00 in our woodland on the Colney Estate.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside and assist the Forest School Leader
- Prepare the environment to offer engaging learning opportunities for children and create an exciting mix of adult-inspired, as well as child-led, outdoors interests and activities.
- Observe children's needs and respond effectively and intuitively
- Create a safe and nurturing atmosphere
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Manage the environment and activities to promote learning and development
- Collaborate with other educators
Skills:
- Experience in supporting Forest School/outdoor education sessions with children of a range of ages preferred.
- Committed to the safety and welfare of those in their care and uphold all safeguarding responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Good communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working in an early years or primary age setting
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
