What You Will Study

This course is ideal for students with barriers to learning due to the nurturing classroom and learning environment.

We do complete a Level 1 qualification, however the Award is made up of 5 units, where our Caring for Childcare Certificate Level 1 course has 11 units. This means we are able to spend longer on each unit and can take a more holistic approach to our learning.

You will be required to complete coursework for the following units:

Unit 01: Encouraging children to eat healthily?

Unit 02: Create a safe environment for young children

Unit 03: Working in a team

Unit 04: Contribute to equality of opportunity in support of young children’s development

Unit 05: Provide a range of appropriate play activities for young children

You will also be provided with learning opportunities through trips to local childcare settings and playgroups, guest speakers and practical activities such as simulated baby massage, Zumba, food preparation and outdoor team building activities.
