Whether it's lunch or an evening meal, discover first-hand the excellent standards set by our Catering and Hospitality students at City College Norwich.

Debut Restaurant trains the next generation of chefs and front of house staff by giving our students experience of working in a fine dining restaurant.

The restaurant is run by the college’s internationally renowned Hotel School and serves exquisite lunches and dinners from a seasonal menu. A number of themed nights and guest chef takeover evenings are also held to showcase the outstanding talent of our students.

Debut Restaurant holds a ‘Highly Commended’ AA College Rosette that reflects the outstanding food and service on offer. The college’s high standards of hospitality education along with the experience students gain in the Debut Restaurant, has seen a number of notable names start their journey with us including Richard Bainbridge and Tom Aikens.

Opening times

Debut Restaurant is open during term time for:

  • Dinner 6pm to 9pm (Wednesday evenings) - arrival for 6pm. Enjoy a five-course meal for £25.
  • Lunch (The Brasserie) 12pm to 1pm. Available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 

The Brasserie

We’re excited to introduce The Brasserie, a fresh, relaxed dining experience at Debut Restaurant. From Wednesday 12th November to Friday 28th November, join us for lunch as we shift to a more casual, Brasserie-style service. 

Instead of the usual three-course lunch set menu, guests can now choose from a daily menu. Whether you fancy a starter, main, dessert, or just one course, it’s up to you. Starters are priced at £3.00, mains at £5.00, and desserts at £3.00.

Menus change daily, so there’s always something fresh to try.

Booking is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Wednesday evenings continue as usual with formal service with updated menus coming soon!

Please note: there will be no Brasserie service between 3rd and 19th December, as our Christmas dining experience takes over during this time.

Debut is proud to announce its association with Hallgarten Wines and offer a fresh new wine list with a good selection of quality wines.
