Prince’s Trust students help to restore historic lifeboat

Students on the Prince’s Trust Team Programme have rolled up their sleeves to help the Winterton-on-Sea community restore their 19th-century lifeboat that helped save 94 lives in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Student DJ wins investment to nurture Bare Bass enterprise

Talented young Norwich DJ, Dan Benton, 19, a Business with Enterprise student at City College Norwich, has won a £1,000 grant from Nurture Financial Planning Ltd to support his new start-up, Bare Bass, which organises club nights.

HND Engineering students exhibit innovative design projects

Students on the HND Mechatronics Engineering and HND Mechanical Engineering courses at City College Norwich this week exhibited projects which have seen them create a new engineering concept from design through to implementation.

Cutting edge styles at Diffusion hair show

A creative mix of stunning, contemporary hair creations, taking their inspiration from Lady Gaga, burlesque, candy and masquerade themes, went on show this week at the Diffusion hair show at City College Norwich. 

The catwalk show, which was held in The StartUp Lounge, showcased the work of 23 students on hairdressing NVQ and VRQ courses at the College.

Young entrepreneur invites you to Devour great food from student chefs

Young entrepreneur Sam Brown, 21, is aiming to introduce more people to the excellent hospitality and catering provided by City College Norwich’s students through a new student-run business, Devour.

Based at the Debut Restaurant at City College Norwich, where Sam works and learns as a trainee Operations Supervisor, Devour adds a fresh, new option to eating out in Norwich.
