Youth Worker

Hours: 37 hours per week *Flexible working options available, part time applications will be considered. If applying on a part-time basis please state the hours you require to work.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Multiple roles available based in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Kings Lynn and Thetford

Salary: Starting salary £24,942 per annum with incremental progression based on performance to £26,817 per annum

Closing date: 9am Monday 11th July 2022

Interview date: Interviews are expected to be held between 18th and 29th July 2022

MAP is looking for a Youth Worker to join a highly motivated team to provide opportunities to young people to facilitate their personal and social development. You will work develop and deliver a programme of activities, which may include one-to-one support and group work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting the interests of vulnerable young people, facilitating participation opportunities and creating inclusive environments.

As a youth worker at MAP, you can expect to work on a range of projects at different times. We currently have multiple vacancies across the county to achieve our renewed strategic plan, establishing an equitable set of youth work services in 6 districts of Norfolk. You will be asked at interview to indicate any preferences or objections to working in specific locations or on specific projects, and discuss your capability to travel independently around the county.
