Senior Youth Worker

Hours: 37 hours per week *Flexible working options available, part time applications will be considered. If applying on a part-time basis please state the hours you require to work.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Norwich or at one of our other locations in Norfolk

Salary: Starting salary £27,381 per annum with incremental progression based on performance to £29,637

Closing date: 9am Monday 11th July 2022

Interview date: Interviews are expected to be held on Thursday 14th and Monday 18th July 2022

MAP is looking for a Senior Youth Worker to help lead a highly motivated team to provide opportunities to young people to facilitate their personal and social development. You will manage several people and projects, developing and delivering a programme of activities including groups and one-to-ones. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing people and projects and will be passionate about promoting the interests of vulnerable young people, facilitating participation opportunities and creating inclusive environments.

As a Senior Youth Worker at MAP, you can expect to manage and deliver a range of projects at different times. We currently have two senior positions within the youth work team, (1) to lead on Norwich-based youth work (groups and mentoring in schools and community settings) and (2) to deliver a countywide ‘Youth in Mind’ service, involving young people in shaping mental health services. At interview, you will be asked to indicate any preferences or objections to either role.
