At MAP, we are advisers, counsellors, youth workers and other professionals working together to provide the best support we can to young people aged 11-25, in a way that works for them.

The pandemic is having a negative impact on young people and the way they live their lives. We are very excited to have secured additional funding enabling us to expand our services to young people and we are recruiting people to join our team who are committed to our values of:
- Being young person- centred.
- Valuing each individual.
- Being professional.
- Working for Social Justice.

Our participation youth workers work alongside young people on campaigns, lobbying and youth involvement that promotes young people’s views, creates social change and ensures the voice of young people is heard in decision- making. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young people to take action and will have experience of working with young people, networking, community organising, campaigning, lobbying and social movements.

As a youth worker at MAP, you can expect to work on a range of projects at different times. The role we anticipate you undertaking initially is leading the rural engagement within MAP’s Youth In Mind project. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join this newly formed team, facilitating young people’s involvement in the design and delivery of the Norfolk & Waveney Mental Health ‘Transformation’ process. It is essential that young people share their hopes, concerns and experiences, working alongside professionals to ensure change happens in an informed and relevant way. Given that this role will involve a rural remit, you will need to be able and willing to travel around Norfolk to involve young people who face geographical barriers to engagement.
