Job Description

The Tiffin Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for a qualified, mature and hardworking Qualified Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team for September 2022.

Our Nursery

• Our wonderful nursery is set in an old school next to Thurton Primary School NR14 6AT which has been operating successfully for 10 years
• We have a strong reputation amongst local schools for providing great care and education to the children in our care.
• We are delighted to say that the nursery is growing in numbers and we are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to join our team.

We have operated a strong traditional EYFS Foundation programme and this year we have made some exciting changes bringing in a mixed set of best practices from around the early year’s educational world.

Our new developing education and care programme brings in the EYFS, Hygge, Forest School, Montessori, Reggio Emilo, Te Whariki and Curiosity inspired practices. We don’t believe that our children should be tied to one set of practices but experience the best experience we can offer them to achieve their learning objectives. Our curriculum allows you to bring your create energy and ideas to an open minded setting.

You will be expected to bring in the practices and interest you love to the children and staff at the setting. The role is as much about you, as it is about meeting the needs of our children and the values and practices of the nursery.

Nursery Educator Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for ratio numbers
• As a keyworker, you will ensure individual child’s needs are met.
• You will be expected to carry out planning and create learning activities ensuring you are meeting the needs of the children in your care and others at the setting.
• You will be expected to complete quality learning journals to a high standard using Tapestry therefore you must have outstanding written skills as you will be sharing your enthusiasm with parents regarding their child’s progress and development.
• The role requires you to have excellent verbal and written skills to support high quality value adding observations
• You must be a team worker and enjoy working as a team and contributing to the success of the team.
• You will be confident and comfortable to speak up against practices that don’t support Safeguarding or the Core Values of the nursery ensuring that the safety of children and staff are the priority.
• You must have a strong work ethic as you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, care and support as we service the needs of our children and their families.

To be considered for the opportunity you must be an exceptional candidate with an exceptionally professional attitude and a dedication to the Early Years sector.

It is essential that you have current and relevant EYFS Knowledge.

Qualifications, Experience and References:

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification or above
• Experience of 0-5 years
• A passionate approach to delivering high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities

Salary

Starting Salary: £13,760 upto £17,082 per annum


Attendance

Monday to Friday 08.00am to 4.00pm

36.6 Hours
