Students on City College Norwich’s UAL Extended Diploma in Photography have moved their annual end of year exhibition online, so that as many people as possible can see their Final Major Project work.
The online show, titled ‘Unmasked’, can be seen at https://flynngooch.wixsite.com/ccnphotogexhibition
Photography student Flynn Gooch set up the website and worked with his fellow students to make the online show possible.
Flynn, who has a conditional offer of a place at Norwich University of the Arts, said:
I really felt like our work needed to be out there. Everyone has worked hard on their Final Major Projects. It’s important for us, before going on to uni or work, to be able to show our work and say something about ourselves as photographers.
I enjoyed the fact that with the FMP there was less direction, that we could do what we wanted. My work focuses on cinematic qualities, exploring loneliness and isolation, which became even more relevant as I was shooting during lockdown.”
Jon Clark, Photography Lecturer, adds:
I am very proud of my second year students who took up the challenge of moving their end of year exhibition online.
‘Unmasked’ demonstrates their resilience, creativity and passion for photography during lockdown. Please enjoy the exhibition and follow the links to see more of the students’ photography.”
