Students celebrate brilliant A Level results

16th August 2018

City College Norwich students have been rewarded for their hard work this year, as they received their A Level results.

70% of students achieved A*- C A Level grades, representing a 7% increase on last year’s results. In addition, those students achieving grades of A*-B increased by over 10%.

We are so proud of our students as they set off on the next step of their journeys. These results would not have been possible without the dedication of our teaching staff, who consistently go above and beyond for our students.

Donna Howe, head of  A Levels, was delighted with the results:

We’re very proud that the proportion of our students achieving the highest grades, A*-B, has increased by over 10pc this year. This will mean that the vast majority of our students will be securing their first choice of university and we are really proud of the effort they have put in to achieve this

Niahl Hubbard received AAB grades, and is off to the University of East Anglia to study Psychology;

I’ve enjoyed my time at City College Norwich, it’s been a great experience. My results are better than I was expecting and I look forward to starting university this September

Paulo Inocencio achieved A*BB in his results, and is now set to attend the University of Sheffield;

I’ve been at City College Norwich for three years, and I’ve really valued my time here. What’s unique about CCN is the adult environment; the staff are very supportive and help to mould you into a mature person

Maisie Barber achieved an A*AA on her results, and is attending the University of Nottingham;

I have had a great experience at City College Norwich. I’ve put in a lot of hard work, and my results are better than I expected!

William Sims achieved AAAB in his results, and is now off to the University of Birmingham;

I’ve had a positive experience at City College Norwich, I’m very happy with my results – they were better than I had expected

We hope our students enjoy celebrating their results, and wish them the very best for their futures. For those students who may need advice or guidance on their next steps, our Advice Shop will be open every weekday from now until the start of the new academic year.
