Former Health and Social care student, Mellie Plummer, shares how her City College Norwich journey helped her follow her nursing ambitions.
Exceptional support and guidance
I studied a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, completing my course in 2019.
I found college to be an incredibly helpful and safe environment. I was supported in both my learning and my personal journey in a way that enabled me to achieve the best of my abilities.
My college tutors were exceptional, they continually supported me and guided me to make the most of my time.
Growing in self confidence and gaining work experience
College gave me the opportunity to participate in work experience, which further supported my employment within healthcare.
My self confidence and resilience grew as I was inspired and encouraged by those around me.
Studying mental health nursing at university
If I had to sum up my City College Norwich journey in one word, it would be ‘compassionate’.
