GCSE Results Day Frequently Asked Questions
21st August 2017
If you have completed a GCSE course at City College Norwich this year you will be able to collect your results from the StartUp Lounge on Thursday 24th August between 8am and 11am.
We want to make sure that you have all the information you need for the upcoming results day so here are some frequently ask questions to help you prepare.
Please note that this information is for City College Norwich’s GCSE students only.
Do I need to bring anything with me when I collect my results?
To collect your results, you will need to bring photographic proof of your identity with you, such as your student ID card or a driving licence.
Can I get someone to pick up my results for me?
Yes, however you will need to provide them with a signed letter stating that you allow this person to pick up your results on your behalf. Your nominated person will also need to provide photographic proof of their identity.
I won’t be available to collect my results between 8am and 11am on Thursday 24th August. What should I do?
Don’t worry, you will still be able to pick up your results in person from the Advice Shop in the Norwich Building between 11am and 2:30pm.
You will not be able to collect your results after 2:30pm. Any results that have not been collected by 2:30pm will be sent out on the same day via First Class post.
Will I be able to speak to anyone about my options if my grades are not what I was expecting?
Yes of course. If you have any questions or need help or advice after you have received your results, we will have tutors and advisers from our Advice Shop on hand to help you decide on your next steps. More details about this will be given to you when you collect your results.
Please note that if you are collecting your results after 11am, whilst there will be staff available in our Advice Shop to help you decide on your next steps, your tutors may not be available as they will be involved in enrolment activities.
I have been invited to an enrolment appointment at City College Norwich on the same day that I will be collecting my GCSE results. Can I enrol and collect my results at the same time?
It is very important that you stick to the enrolment time that has been scheduled for you. If your enrolment appointment is later in the day and you don’t wish to come in early to collect your results, please let us know when you arrive for your appointment that you also need to collect your results and we can provide them for you.
Unfortunately we will not be able to reschedule your appointment to an earlier time so if you choose to come in earlier to collect your results from the StartUp Lounge, you will need to wait until your scheduled time before heading to enrolment.
We wish you the very best of luck with your results and remember, whatever happens, we are here to help.
