Celebration of Access to Higher Education achievements
31st July 2019
City College Norwich marked the achievements of our Access to Higher Education students with an end of year celebration.
The students were presented with their certificates after completing the college’s Access courses in Art and Design, Business Management, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science for Health Practitioners.
Classmates, family members and other guests shared in applauding the students’ achievements at the event at Norfolk House.
Successful completion of the 1-year courses means our Access ‘class of 2019’ can now fulfil their aim of progressing to a wide range of Higher Education courses.
Chloe Rix, Access to Science for Health Practitioners, said:
It was a great experience. The teachers were very supportive and always made me want to learn. For my next step, I’m attending UEA to study Mental Health Nursing.
Jack Spinx, who also completed the Access to Science for Health Practitioners course, adds:
I didn’t know what to do after my A Levels. I liked science, and the Access course seemed perfect for me – it’s a fantastic qualification to have. The tutors are brilliant, they provided clear goals and ensured we were able to do the work. This was one of the best experiences of my life. I’ve made friends from every walk of life, who I know will be friends for life. For my next step, I’m studying Paramedic Science at UEA.
