I chose the Extended Diploma in Creative Media and Technology because I wanted to gain experience that isn’t available at A Level.
I came to CCN from high school. I chose the Extended Diploma in Creative Media and Technology as it was hands-on and would allow me to focus on the one subject I was certain I wanted to pursue as a career, allowing me to gain experience that isn't available at A-Level.
The course gave me access to industry-standard equipment and enabled me to create professional, high-quality content. It encouraged me to be confident and accomplish things I didn't think would be possible.
My tutors were very experienced and provided me with fantastic advice regarding my work and my future. I felt as though they really cared for me as a person rather than just a student, which is something I really value.
Exceeded all my expectations
The experience was incomparable. City College Norwich exceeded all my expectations! It's an incredibly inclusive place in which everyone is accepted and made to feel welcome. The tutors genuinely care about the students as individuals and encourage you to reach your potential.
Enjoyable and life-changing
My CCN Journey has been enjoyable and life-changing. I gained confidence, a broad range of skills, and a close-knit network of friends and mentors.
Things that stand out for me are the amazing tutors who really encouraged me to reach my potential, having my work shown at UAL's annual Origins exhibition two years running, gaining a Level 4 distinction grade on the last unit of my Final Major Project and receiving an FE Award from the college.
Film industry goals
My aim now is to complete the Media Learning Company course, whilst gaining further work experience outside of this. I will then look for apprenticeships and jobs in the industry.
My goal is to become a Producer or Filmmaker, ideally working on independent projects or in the film industry.
