Summary
On this course you will gain the essential knowledge needed by today's service technician.
Your time at College will be divided into 60% classroom delivery and 40% practical/workshop activities.
Units covered include:
Diagnosis and rectification of engine and component faults
Diagnosis and rectification of chassis system faults
Diagnosis and rectification of auxiliary electrical equipment

Entry Requirements
Successful completion of Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Level 2 and a progression interview will be required.
Objective
This IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) Level 3 Diploma covers the technical needs for today's motor repair industry, including diagnosis of complex faults and advanced systems operations.
Assessment
To complete this course you will need to successfully complete a number of practical assessments and online knowledge assessments.
Progression
Successful students will have the diagnostic and higher thinking skills needed to progress to a level 3 apprenticeship or employment as a vehicle technician.
Career Progression
Successful students are well prepared for opportunities in the vehicle maintenance and repair sector and can arrange a relevant apprenticeship.
Fees
If you are a UK or home fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 and over please contact the Advice Shop In addition to this there will be costs for Uniform of steel toe capped boots, trousers and logo shirt.
