One of the main strengths of our Engineering Department is its extensive links with employers in the engineering industry. Our engineering courses have been developed with employers in the region, meaning that you will be provided with the skills and experiences needed to directly progress into the engineering industry.

Practical experience

Our engineering courses will develop your understanding of the engineering world, the different sectors and how they impact on our lives. You will gain practical experience that will help you progress into a career in engineering.

Our broad range of study pathways provide entry points for all students, developing what you will need to be successful and progress onto an apprenticeship or into higher education. All our study programmes are supported by industry standard workshops, equipment and technology.

Careers in engineering

There are many options for starting your career in engineering. All of our courses will give you a broad base of engineering skills, whilst enabling you to develop more in-depth knowledge and practical experience in the areas of specialism. All of our engineering, automotive and aviation programmes of study are designed with engineering employers to provide you with what you will need to become a successful engineer.
