What will I learn?
This 2-year Motor vehicle course has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses and offers students a mixture of classroom learning and ‘on the job experience’ during an industry placement of at least 315 hours. The placement will provide the knowledge and experience needed to open the door into skilled employment.
You will learn about the technical needs for todays repair industry including diagnosis of faults. You will cover vehicle engines, electrics and electronics, transmission systems and chassis units
You will also learn about health and safety, general housekeeping and industry standard repair techniques covering all aspects of the modern vehicle. This course is ideal if you would like to get into a career as an Automotive Technician within the industry.
What next?
Academic: Successful completion of this course could allow you to study a university level mechanical engineering course.
Career: After completing this course, you can progress onto a career in the motor vehicle industry
