Essential Digital Skills is a part time course for students over 19 years old. The qualifications are intended to develop essential digital skills to enable learners to have access to and actively engage in the digital world. We offer 10-week courses in both Entry Level 3 and Level 1 Essential Digital Skills qualifications. The purpose of these courses are to enable students to develop their digital skills for life, work or future study as set out in the national standards for essential digital skills. Each course is offered on an evening basis and the classes are usually 3 hours long.

Entry Requirements

Students will be required to take an initial assessment to assess their prior knowledge and digital skills, students will then be placed on the appropriate course level.


Assessments are online at the end of the 10-week course.


Entry Level 3 students often progress to Level 1. Following successful achievement learners may wish to further develop their understanding and skills and progress onto digital qualifications at a higher level. The qualifications may also support learners to progress into or within employment.
