Summary

This English (ESOL) course will develop your speaking, listening, reading, writing & grammar skills. You will take part in a range of activities covering different subjects such as health, sport, hobbies, transport and jobs as well as trips to develop your language skills.
We have a range of levels available. The right level for you will be assessed as part of the interview process:
Entry Level 1 ESOL plus Maths
Entry Level 2 ESOL plus Maths
Entry Level 3 ESOL plus Maths
Students attend "Vocational Experience" classes to focus on work skills and tasters of other college courses.
You will also develop computer skills and study Functional Skills Maths at a level which is suitable to you.
The course helps you to get used to college life and living in the UK. We will support you in your future and staff will help you to apply for College courses for the following year.

Entry Requirements

No formal requirements, but you must be aged between 16 and 19 years old.

Assessment

You will gain a qualification in ESOL, assessed by exam. You may be able to take your exam early and progress to a second level within one year.

Progression

Following a successful completion of the course with a good attendance and behaviour record, you may be able to progress on to further courses at the College.

Fees

If you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course, tuition fees are free. If you are aged 19 years and over please check out our part-time adult courses.
