Learning Outcomes

English and Maths is included as part of the students' programme of study. GCSE results and diagnostics assessments at enrolment will determine whether this will be a Functional Skills course or GCSE programme.

This course gives students the opportunity to study and undertake practical administration skills and also have the option to gain an insight into the administration sector.

The method of assessment is course work which includes a variety of assessment methods; including assignments, presentations, group work, reports and discussions. Students will need to achieve a Pass in all units to achieve the full qualification.

Progression can be to employment, an apprenticeship or another course. The expectation is that progressing students will have met 90% attendance target plus have demonstrated a good level of performance in terms of work progress and behaviour, and will successfully complete an interview.

The subject area of 'Administration' can lead students into a wide variety of different occupations in a wide range of business environments. Having completed this course, the next step may be to continue their studies either in an apprenticeship or other subject areas.
