Summary
This course is suitable for those that have dabbled in drawing or taken a few classes but don't know how to take it further. The course revisits the core skills of drawing covered in 'Improve your Drawing' such as shape, proportion, negative space, tone, compositions and mark-making. Each topic is explored more fully so you can extend your skills further and learn techniques to take away and keep you drawing.
You will be encouraged to use a range of mediums such as pencil, charcoal, chalk, pastel and inks so that you can discover which mediums suit you and gain confidence with materials. This is a fun, exploratory course that will give you a better understanding of yourself as an artist and give you a good foundation to continue with confidence.
Course Structure:
Week 1 - Shape and Proportion - drawing multiple objects
Week 2 - Negative and Positive Space - foliage
Week 3 - Light and Shade - exploring tone
Week 4 - Composition/Viewpoints and Mark-making with inks/mixed media
Week 5 - Own project
Course details - Mondays 6-8pm 12/09/22 - 17/10/22.
