This course is a 2 day consecutive workshop that weather permitting will enable you to enjoy the mornings looking at nature and drawing. This course covers all the key elements of:
drawing, shape, proportion, line, tone and texture through looking at plants, flowers and trees.
Weather permitting, we will sketch outside and observe nature from life, if the weather is wet we will take samples indoors and sketch under shelter.
The course will include:
Observational drawing looking at shape and structure
-Experimenting with dry media
Course details are as follows:
Duration: 9 hours (split over two sessions) Thursday 3rd June and Friday 4th June.
Location: City College Norwich - Ipswich Road Main Campus
For your first session please bring a set of pencils, sketchpad and charcoal. Some materials will be provided. It may also be sensible to bring a raincoat and a packed lunch if we venture outside.

No formal entry requirments. Experience of drawing is not required.
On completion of this course you will feel more confident about drawing flowers, plants and trees and have gained some knowledge and experience of using different dry media such as pencil, charcoal and chalk alongside developing your drawing skills.
No formal progression.
Please note that courses may be cancelled if minimum numbers are not met. Please be aware that if you are no longer able to attend your course you will be offered an alternative date where available, however no refunds are available unless this course is cancelled by City College Norwich.
